Key Responsibilities

📊 Student Financial Management – Maintain accurate student ledgers and ensure tuition and fees are correctly billed.
💰 Accounts Receivable & Reconciliation – Process and reconcile cash transactions at a detailed student level.
🔎 Financial Analysis & Reporting – Review accounts, perform variance analysis, and support month-end closings.
🛠 System & Compliance Management – Work with accounting software like Great Plains & CampusVue to ensure data accuracy.
📑 Regulatory Compliance – Ensure financial operations comply with internal controls and regulatory guidelines.
📈 Process Improvement – Recommend actions based on financial data trends and operational needs.
🤝 Cross-Department Collaboration – Support various departments by executing financial requests related to student accounts.

Qualifications & Skills

✔ Bachelor’s Degree – In Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
✔ 1-3 Years of Accounting Experience – Exposure to accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
✔ Strong Analytical & Technical Skills – Experience with financial reporting and intermediate-level Excel.
✔ Knowledge of Accounting Principles – GAAP knowledge and understanding of accounting best practices.
✔ Familiarity with Accounting Software – Experience with Great Plains and CampusVue preferred.
✔ Detail-Oriented & Organized – Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
✔ Strong Communication Skills – Ability to explain financial data and work effectively with various teams.
✔ Eligible for Federal Loan & Grant Programs – Must not be in default on federal student loans or owe repayment on a federal grant.

Preferred Qualifications

🎓 Advanced Accounting Experience – Exposure to higher education or student financial services is a plus.
💡 Process Improvement Mindset – Ability to enhance financial systems and reporting.
📘 CPA or Progress Toward CPA Certification – Preferred but not required.
