🌟 Job Summary

We are seeking a caring, mission-driven Educator to support our after-school programs and year-round camps for elementary and middle school students. This is a flexible position ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with youth in a faith-based, enriching environment.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

👶 Student Supervision & Transitions

Safely escort and sign in/out students from nearby schools (e.g., Shaffner Elementary)
Oversee daily activities: snack time, tutoring, free play, and enrichment

📚 Learning & Enrichment

Provide academic support including reading and homework help
Lead engaging projects and creative play aligned with our Christian mission
Facilitate STEM, fitness, and arts-based activities

🧼 Environment & Safety

Keep classrooms and activity areas clean and organized
Enforce safety protocols and model respectful behavior
Securely manage materials and equipment

🗣️ Collaboration & Communication

Communicate with families, staff, and volunteers effectively
Uphold Christian values in interactions and educational delivery
Support additional duties during school breaks or camps

✅ Requirements

Must be 18 years or older with high school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated alignment with Christian values and City Schoolhouse’s mission
Able to pass a comprehensive background check
Available Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. during the school year, and for full-day shifts when school is out
Comfortable with active supervision, including standing, walking, or lifting moderate weights

💡 Nice-to-Haves

Experience in alternative education (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, etc.)
Background in STEM, physical fitness, or creative arts
First Aid/CPR certification
Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
