The Department of Agricultural Economics at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor specializing in Community and Rural Development. 🎯 Key Responsibilities

Develop and lead a nationally recognized Extension-research program supporting rural economic growth and entrepreneurship
Create curricula and training programs for county and area Extension educators
Conduct research and develop outreach tools for local leaders to support community viability
Use tools like economic impact analysis, gap analysis, and small business development models
Publish in peer-reviewed journals and secure external funding
Collaborate with faculty and Extension professionals across disciplines

📘 Qualifications

Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Economics, or a closely related field
Interest in rural and community economic development
Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred: Experience in Extension/outreach, academic collaboration, and community-based work

Rank: Assistant or Associate Professor (based on qualifications)
Appointment: 11-month, tenure-track
Start Date: August 2025 (negotiable)
