📌 Job Overview

The Department of Computer Science & Information Technology at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems for the 2024-2025 academic year. This tenure-track position will support the newly launched Management Information Systems (MIS) program, designed to prepare students for careers in IT and computer science fields.

📖 Key Responsibilities

✔ Maintain a 4/4 teaching load for on-campus and/or online courses.
✔ Teach undergraduate courses in MIS and Computer Science, such as:

Intro to Management Information Systems
Business Programming
Database Management
Networks & Telecommunications
Web Programming
Information Systems Analysis & Design
Business Data Management & Analysis
✔ Develop curriculum and course content to align with industry trends.
✔ Conduct scholarly research and publish findings in relevant fields.
✔ Engage in student academic advising and mentorship.
✔ Participate in department, university, and community service.
✔ Attend conferences and workshops to stay current in the field.

🎯 Qualifications & Skills

✅ Minimum Requirements:
📜 Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution (or ABD with Ph.D. completion by the start date).
