🚀 Job Overview

As an Assistant Superintendent, you will:
Manage subcontractor performance and ensure projects stay on schedule.
Develop and track CPM schedules to streamline project execution.
✅ Oversee general construction budgets and safety programs.
Review design documents and verify accuracy of shop drawings.
Create material procurement lists and integrate them into project schedules.
Establish and monitor quality control (QC) programs for ongoing improvements.
Value-engineer throughout project phases to optimize costs and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with all project team members to align goals.
Find creative solutions to construction challenges using innovative strategies.
Promote a positive company image and develop relationships for future business.
Travel to project sites as needed.

📌 Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision & Leadership: Provide on-site guidance to subcontractors and junior staff.
  • Scheduling Expertise: Use MS Project and/or Primavera for detailed scheduling.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects meet building codes and safety standards.
  • Budget Management: Oversee financial aspects of projects, minimizing overruns.
  • Safety & Quality Assurance: Maintain strict safety protocols and quality control measures.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Clients.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement value-engineering practices to enhance efficiency.

🎯 Required Qualifications

3-5 years of on-site construction management experience.
Post-high school education or equivalent in construction management.
Valid driver’s license (must pass pre-employment and random drug testing).
Knowledge of current building codes and experience working in local markets.


🌟 Preferred Qualifications

Supervision experience with the ability to mentor team members.
⭐ Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera scheduling tools.
⭐ Bilingual (Spanish proficiency is a plus but not required).
