Labcorp is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our Laboratory Automation & Robotics team. This role is perfect for a hands-on software engineer eager to work with embedded systems, robotic control software, and laboratory automation applications. From prototype development to full-scale production, you’ll help build the future of lab automation!

πŸ”Ή Key Responsibilities:

βœ… Develop and support embedded and application-level software for laboratory robots.
βœ… Assist in designing robotic control software and user interface applications.
βœ… Build core tools to simplify robotic automation programming.
βœ… Work with the Manufacturing Engineering team to create testing and diagnostic software.
βœ… Collaborate with Customer Care teams to diagnose and troubleshoot field service issues.
βœ… Adhere to ISO 13485 quality standards for medical device software.
βœ… Stay updated with industry trends in robotics, automation, and software development.
βœ… Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to enhance software quality.

🎯 Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

βœ” Proficiency in Java, C/C++, Python, or Rust (experience with multiple is a plus).
βœ” Strong object-oriented design and software architecture skills.
βœ” Familiarity with embedded systems, automation software, or robotics control.
βœ” Understanding of electrical interfacing, sensors, and motor controls.
βœ” Experience using IDEs (Eclipse, VSCode) and version control (Git, GitHub).
βœ” Exposure to web technologies (Angular, Node.js) is a plus.
βœ” Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
βœ” Experience with relational or NoSQL databases is a plus.
