Labcorp is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our Laboratory Automation & Robotics team. This role is perfect for a hands-on software engineer eager to work with embedded systems, robotic control software, and laboratory automation applications. From prototype development to full-scale production, youβll help build the future of lab automation!
πΉ Key Responsibilities:
β
Develop and support embedded and application-level software for laboratory robots.
β
Assist in designing robotic control software and user interface applications.
β
Build core tools to simplify robotic automation programming.
β
Work with the Manufacturing Engineering team to create testing and diagnostic software.
β
Collaborate with Customer Care teams to diagnose and troubleshoot field service issues.
β
Adhere to ISO 13485 quality standards for medical device software.
β
Stay updated with industry trends in robotics, automation, and software development.
β
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to enhance software quality.
π― Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
β Proficiency in Java, C/C++, Python, or Rust (experience with multiple is a plus).
β Strong object-oriented design and software architecture skills.
β Familiarity with embedded systems, automation software, or robotics control.
β Understanding of electrical interfacing, sensors, and motor controls.
β Experience using IDEs (Eclipse, VSCode) and version control (Git, GitHub).
β Exposure to web technologies (Angular, Node.js) is a plus.
β Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
β Experience with relational or NoSQL databases is a plus.
