Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Audio Video Post-Production Editor to join our team in Washington, DC. This role involves media editing, file conversions, archiving, and social media uploads while maintaining and upgrading editing workstations. You will report directly to the Audio-Visual Manager.

Key Responsibilities 📈

• Edit video and audio content using Final Cut X, Motion, and Compressor.
• Upload media to social media platforms.
• Manage archiving database using CATDV and other software.
• Perform system maintenance (software/hardware/firmware updates) on MAC and PC platforms.
• Research and recommend hardware/software upgrades and update SOPs.
• Support AV operations, including equipment setup and troubleshooting.
• Engage with high-profile officials, contractors, researchers, and visitors.

Qualifications & Experience 🌟

• 3+ years of video editing experience.
• Degree in audiovisual field, technical certifications, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Final Cut X, Motion, and Compressor (minimum 2 years).
• At least 1 year experience with Apple MAC system maintenance and updates.
• Strong communication & customer service skills.
• Preferred: Experience with CATDV archiving database.
• Bonus: Knowledge of live event multimedia equipment, HD cameras, microphones, and production lighting.

Physical Demands 💪

• Work on ladders, scaffolding, and in tight spaces.
• Standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and lifting equipment up to 20 lbs. (occasionally over 50 lbs.).
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Salary & Benefits 💸

• Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000
