Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Global Risk Management & Claims team at Amazon. This role will be essential in analyzing complex claims data, applying economic theories to evaluate risk factors, and recommending strategic improvements. Your contributions will directly impact how Amazon manages its claims processes and ensures cost-effective outcomes.

You’ll be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing automated reporting solutions, and leveraging data analytics tools to optimize operational performance. Key Responsibilities

📊 Data Analysis & Economic Modeling:

• Apply economic theories and models to assess claims trends, predict future claim performance, and evaluate risk factors.
• Conduct detailed economic analyses to determine the financial impact of claims and recommend cost-effective resolution strategies.

📈 Reporting & Automation:

• Develop metrics, automated reporting solutions, and process improvements tailored to business needs.
• Design dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance data visibility and drive operational efficiency.

📉 Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Provide strategic recommendations to key stakeholders to mitigate financial and operational risks.

🔧 Process Improvement & Optimization:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within claims management processes.
• Implement solutions that streamline operations and improve overall claims management efficiency.

Qualifications

🎓 Educational Background & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• 5+ years of experience in advanced Excel functions (including VBA, pivot tables, etc.) and data visualization tools (such as Tableau).

💡 Skills & Expertise:

• Proficiency in SQL and advanced data analytics.
• Strong business analysis experience with a focus on using data and metrics to draw business insights.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and make data-driven business recommendations.
• Experience with auto claims management or claims consulting is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

🌟 Advanced Expertise:

• 3+ years of experience in Auto Liability Claims Management or as a Claims Consultant.
• Ability to write and present complex analytical findings to senior leadership, including executives.
• An MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
• Experience with Power BI for business intelligence reporting is a plus.
