Position Overview

SpaceX, a company focused on advancing human exploration of space, is looking for a talented Business Analyst to join the Starlink team in Redmond, WA. As part of the Starlink Customer Operations department, you’ll play a key role in analyzing data related to Starlink customers, translating insights into actionable recommendations, and improving customer experiences as well as internal operations.

In this exciting role, you’ll be involved in everything from conducting deep data analysis using SQL queries to developing dashboards that measure business performance. As a pivotal team member, you’ll also help automate processes and maintain data integrity to ensure that business operations run smoothly.


Responsibilities

πŸ“Š Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis (SQL queries and other methods) to identify customer issues and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to improve outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards that measure operational performance and help drive business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to answer tactical business questions using analytical frameworks.

πŸ”§ Automation & Process Improvement:

  • Automate processes that mitigate risk and increase efficiencies across Starlink Customer Operations.
  • Work on data integrity, tool maintenance, and ensuring the quality of reporting.

πŸ’‘ Training & Tool Support:

  • Train internal users and team leaders on dashboard functionality and tool usage.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for internal users to ensure smooth operation of reporting tools.

🌍 Cross-functional Support:

  • Collaborate with software development teams to improve data capture and identify system improvements.
  • Support new market launches and larger cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment and efficient execution.

Basic Qualifications

πŸŽ“ Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

πŸ’» Technical Skills:

  • At least 2+ years of experience in reporting and analytics, ideally within customer operations or other relevant fields such as manufacturing, quality control, supply chain management, or consulting.
  • 1+ year of experience with SQL and creating/managing dashboards using data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, management information systems, computer science, engineering, or economics.

πŸ’» Advanced Technical Skills:

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python or R).
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, including complex joins, views, query optimization, and ETL development.
