Role Overview:
As a Consultant, Business Consulting β Transformation Architecture in Banking at EY, you will help clients navigate the complexities of transformation and business strategy across various sectors of the financial services industry. Your key responsibilities include advising clients on improving operational efficiency, leveraging technology for growth, and implementing business strategies to drive cost reduction and portfolio growth.
This role is ideal for professionals with experience in banking, consulting, and transformation architecture who are passionate about delivering impactful solutions. You will take ownership of project workstreams, manage client relationships, and deliver insights that drive meaningful improvements for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
πΌ Client Engagement & Analysis:
- Analyze financial data and economic trends to guide clients in making business decisions.
- Evaluate client operations, identify inefficiencies, and recommend transformative business strategies to meet client objectives.
- Deliver strategic recommendations that align with business goals and improve client experiences.
π Project Management & Workstream Leadership:
- Lead client engagements and manage workstreams through all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Develop detailed project plans, manage tasks and deliverables, and ensure the timely completion of milestones.
- Oversee junior consultants and provide mentorship, feedback, and coaching.
π§ Strategic Planning & Implementation:
- Design and implement operating models for clients in the banking sector, addressing target state business, operations, technology, and control functions.
- Lead capability maturity model planning and roadmap development for strategic initiatives.
- Manage core platform transformation and system conversion, driving the realization of business priorities.
π Transformation and Vendor Management:
- Guide clients through the process of core system transformations, vendor assessments, and technology-enabled solutions.
- Oversee client migrations and assist in process reengineering efforts to streamline operations.
Qualifications:
β Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of post-baccalaureate related experience in banking or financial services.
- 3 years of experience working with consulting firms or financial institutions in transformation or business consulting.
β Specialized Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of operating model design, capability maturity models, and core platform transformations.
- Strong background in processes, systems, and operations related to deposits, payments, lending, or cash management products.
- Experience in channel transformation, including branches, mobile apps, online platforms, and contact centers.
β Project & Team Leadership:
- 2+ years of experience leading workstreams and managing teams.
- Ability to create detailed project plans, manage tasks and deliverables, and provide regular feedback to team members.
π Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 80%, including up to 20% international travel.
