Key Responsibilities

As a Business Immigration Consultant, you will:

• 🌟 Client Engagement: Perform substantive, client-facing work beyond traditional paralegal duties, including case-related tasks that require specialized knowledge in employment-based immigration.
• 📝 Case Management: Independently manage case preparation and filing petitions with government agencies, including gathering documents, conducting reviews, analyzing cases, and drafting materials.
• 📊 Status Oversight: Monitor the status of cases using case management and billing systems, generating reports as needed, and assisting with case reviews.
• 🤝 Client Interaction: Work directly with clients to perform intake, troubleshoot issues, establish case strategies, and recommend process improvements.
• ✉️ Communication: Proactively communicate with foreign nationals and client contacts, providing timely updates on case status and responding to inquiries.
• 📅 Deadline Management: Meet assigned deadlines aligned with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), communicating progress and escalations to supervisors.
• 👥 Team Collaboration: Assist in hiring and training new team members, contributing to team productivity and office-wide initiatives.
• 🔍 Policy Awareness: Recognize when changes in immigration policy may impact workflows and collaborate with leadership to adapt processes accordingly.
• 💻 Technology Utilization: Be proficient with case management tools and technologies to manage data and information effectively.
• 🌱 Continuous Improvement: Embrace a mindset of continuous improvement, regularly seeking opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency, and standardization of processes and services.

Qualifications

Required:

• 🎓 Associate’s degree or Paralegal certificate with a minimum of 4 years of business immigration experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in business immigration.
• 🏅 Proven experience with EB-1, NIW, RFE, and other employment-based immigration matters.
• 📜 Strong understanding of procedural requirements for various nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, along with comprehensive knowledge of client processes.
• ✍️ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to proofread documents and draft clear, error-free prose.
• 💻 Proficiency in various computer systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $86,000, reflecting various factors considered in compensation decisions, such as skills, experience, and location. It is uncommon for new hires to start at the top of the salary range, and compensation decisions will depend on individual qualifications.
