As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will play a key role in ensuring efficient patient flow, assisting with vital signs, medical procedures, and point-of-care testing, and providing direct patient support under the supervision of healthcare professionals.

🩺 Key Duties Include:

  • Assisting with patient intake, vital signs, and medical history documentation.
  • Preparing patients and exam rooms for physician visits and procedures.
  • Administering immunizations, intramuscular injections, and small volume nebulizer treatments.
  • Performing phlebotomy, EKGs, and other lab tests.
  • Calling patients with test results and medical instructions as directed by the provider.
  • Ensuring efficient patient scheduling, follow-ups, and medication refills.
  • Maintaining clinic cleanliness, equipment sterilization, and medical supply inventory.

This position is ideal for candidates with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care.

βœ… Education & Certification:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NAHP, AAH, or NHA (Required upon hire).
  • Graduates of Rush Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program must obtain certification within six months.
  • CPR certification required at the start date.

βœ… Skills & Experience:

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service & patient care abilities.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Epic Ambulatory experience preferred).

βœ… Preferred:

  • 1+ year of clinical experience.
  • Phlebotomy experience.
