As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will gain valuable real-world experience in civil engineering design, planning, permitting, and project development. You will work alongside seasoned professionals, apply cutting-edge software tools, and develop an in-depth understanding of transportation and infrastructure projects.
๐Responsibilities
โ๏ธ Utilize advanced engineering software to analyze, produce, and quality-check deliverables for real-world infrastructure projects.
โ๏ธ Assist in pre-construction design, planning, modifications, and permitting for multiple projects.
โ๏ธ Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to bring engineering designs to life.
โ๏ธ Solve complex engineering challenges while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
โ๏ธ Gain exposure to industry-leading software programs, including:
- AutoCAD & Civil 3D for drafting and design.
- MicroStation & Open Roads for infrastructure modeling.
- VISSIM & Synchro for traffic simulations and analysis.
- GIS & Excel for data visualization and project organization.
โ๏ธ Develop a strong understanding of engineering best practices, project workflows, and industry standards.
๐Qualifications
โ Must Be in the Process of Earning an ABET-Accredited Engineering Degree (Bachelorโs or Masterโs) in one of the following fields:
- Civil Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, or Biosystems Engineering
- Chemical or Agricultural Engineering
- Engineering Technology

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for engineering and infrastructure development.
- Proficiency in engineering software or a willingness to learn.
