The Opportunity

We are seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Bonita Springs, Jacksonville, and Fort Myers, FL 34135. This internship is perfect for students pursuing Civil or Environmental Engineering who are looking to gain practical experience in land development, stormwater management, and utility design.

Key Responsibilities

As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will:
✔ Assist engineers with site grading, stormwater management, utility design, and roadway development projects
✔ Perform engineering design calculations and prepare construction plans
✔ Conduct due diligence research related to codes, entitlements, and zoning regulations
✔ Develop drainage and utility reports to support project planning and execution
✔ Create and edit engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
✔ Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to meet deadlines and deliverables
✔ Gain hands-on exposure to the permitting process, regulatory criteria, and project approval requirements

Required Qualifications

✔ Currently pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
✔ Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
✔ Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
✔ Ability to work well in a team environment and demonstrate initiative

Preferred Qualifications

✔ Experience or coursework in AutoCAD Civil 3D
✔ Exposure to stormwater and utility design
✔ Familiarity with land development projects and construction planning
✔ Understanding of permitting processes and regulatory compliance
