Heritage Bank of Commerce is looking for a dedicated Client Services Representative I to provide top-tier customer support and handle financial transactions at our San Jose, CA branch. Your Key Responsibilities:
✅ Deliver Outstanding Customer Service:
- Assist clients, prospective clients, and bank employees in person, via email, and over the phone.
- Build strong relationships with customers through professional and friendly interactions.
✅ Manage Banking Operations with Accuracy:
- Handle cash and non-cash transactions efficiently and securely.
- Maintain compliance with all banking policies and regulations to minimize risk.
- Review and process operational reports daily to ensure smooth transactions.
✅ Process Teller Transactions with Precision:
- Operate and balance an assigned cash drawer per bank policies.
- Conduct deposit and withdrawal transactions accurately.
- Ensure all transactions are completed promptly and error-free.
✅ Support Branch Operations:
- Assist with administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of banking processes and regulations.
- Stay informed about compliance requirements and attend training sessions as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
🎓 Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of six months of relevant experience (cash handling or customer service preferred).
💻 Skills & Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus!
- Ability to engage with customers and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
Compliance Responsibilities:
📜 Stay Up to Date on Regulations:
As a Client Services Representative I, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry regulations, including:
- Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
- Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC)
- Vendor Management Policies
- Information & Data Security Regulations
- SEC Rules on Corporate Governance & Disclosure
📚 Ongoing Training:
- Attend compliance training sessions and staff meetings.
- Stay informed on updates to financial laws and bank policies.
