Your Role as a Construction Manager

As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of telecom utility construction. You will lead and direct multiple crews, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Manage & Oversee Construction Operations – Lead multiple crews on various telecom construction projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality, and safety standards.
✔ Customer Interaction & Problem Solving – Serve as the main point of contact for customers, addressing escalated issues and ensuring top-tier customer service.
✔ Scheduling & Coordination – Assign crews, establish project timelines, delegate tasks, and oversee job site performance.
✔ Hiring & Personnel Management – Participate in the hiring process, manage employee paperwork, and maintain team productivity.
✔ Ensure Workplace Safety – Promote and enforce a strong safety culture while holding crews accountable for safe work practices.
✔ Project Planning & Documentation – Prepare and review blueprints, contracts, specifications, and bid documents. Identify and resolve any blueprint discrepancies.
✔ Subcontractor Management – Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring work is completed efficiently and up to quality standards.
✔ Budget & Timeline Compliance – Manage costs and scheduling to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
✔ Senior Management & Client Communication – Participate in meetings with senior leadership, peers, and clients to discuss project updates, changes, and performance.
✔ Estimating & Bidding – Assist in project estimating, bidding, contract negotiations, and change order preparation.

Qualifications & Skills

✅ Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management (preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience managing telecom construction projects

✅ Industry Knowledge:

• Understanding of civil construction (grading, trenching, concrete, utility installation, fencing, crane operations)
• Experience in telecom construction (Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, map reading, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and the ability to learn custom software
