About the Role

Humana’s Strategy Planning team is a small, high-performing group that collaborates closely with senior leadership to chart the company’s long-term course. As a Corporate Strategy Consultant, you will play a key role in helping shape Humana’s strategic direction, analyzing growth opportunities, and working alongside business leaders to prioritize options for the future. This role offers unique exposure to senior leadership, including weekly interactions with Humana’s CEO, and involvement in high-level deliverables for Humana’s broader Management Team and Board of Directors.

The role combines industry analysis, qualitative research, and business modeling to help create executive-level recommendations and strategies for the company. You will also support cross-functional projects that address complex, high-priority strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

🧠 Strategic Problem Solving: Help senior leaders define key issues, develop hypotheses, and create actionable recommendations to guide Humana’s strategic decisions.

📊 Industry Analysis & Insights: Develop insights and conduct industry analyses to equip senior leaders with the right data to make informed, strategic decisions.

📅 Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leaders across the company to execute complex strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment across departments.

📈 Roadmaps & Business Cases: Convert strategic initiatives into actionable roadmaps, business cases, and projects, prioritizing timelines and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

🔍 Impact Assessment: Assess the short- and long-term impacts of key strategies by evaluating qualitative and quantitative data to inform business decisions.

Required Qualifications:

🎓 Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

💼 Experience: 2-5 years of experience in consulting, strategy, or corporate roles. Candidates with a Master’s degree and exposure to business or healthcare are also encouraged to apply.

💡 Business Acumen: Strong business and analytical skills with the ability to identify and structure complex business problems.

📚 Strategic Frameworks: Familiarity with strategic frameworks and strategy development processes.

🗣️ Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and executive communication skills for presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

📈 Professional Growth: A strong commitment to personal and professional growth within the healthcare and corporate strategy space.

Location Information:

While Humana is open to remote candidates for this position, there is a strong preference for individuals who are willing to work in a hybrid arrangement at either:

• Humana’s headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky, or
• Sister office in Arlington, Virginia (1812 N. Moore, Arlington, VA)

Compensation & Benefits:

Humana offers a competitive salary with a pay range of $94,900 to $130,500 per year, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
