๐Ÿ’ต Premiums & Additional Pay

  • Locality Premium: $5.23/hour

  • Shift Premium (3:00 p.m. โ€“ 11:00 p.m.): $2.13/hour

  • Shift Premium (11:01 p.m. โ€“ 6:59 a.m.): $1.13/hour

  • Weekend Premium: $2.13/hour

  • Holiday Premium: $2.13/hour


๐Ÿ›  Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain custody and control of juveniles in detention

  • Supervise youth and ensure a safe, secure facility

  • Respond to emergency situations and ensure order

  • Assist juveniles in interpersonal development

  • Monitor and document youth behavior using booking systems

  • Oversee programs and activities within the detention center

  • Prepare incident reports and transport juveniles as needed

  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing training


โœ… Minimum Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience: No prior experience required

  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 20 years old

  • Licensure: Valid driver’s license required

  • Training: Must complete the Department of Juvenile Justice Training Academy within 6 months (includes virtual, on-the-job, and ACT training)

  • Designated essential position โ€“ not eligible for Adverse Weather Leave

  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, or any shift

  • Overnight travel and lodging provided for training as needed
