💵 Premiums & Additional Pay

Locality Premium: $5.23/hour
Shift Premium (3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.): $2.13/hour
Shift Premium (11:01 p.m. – 6:59 a.m.): $1.13/hour
Weekend Premium: $2.13/hour
Holiday Premium: $2.13/hour

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Maintain custody and control of juveniles in detention
Supervise youth and ensure a safe, secure facility
Respond to emergency situations and ensure order
Assist juveniles in interpersonal development
Monitor and document youth behavior using booking systems
Oversee programs and activities within the detention center
Prepare incident reports and transport juveniles as needed
Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing training

✅ Minimum Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: No prior experience required
Age Requirement: Must be at least 20 years old
Licensure: Valid driver’s license required
Training: Must complete the Department of Juvenile Justice Training Academy within 6 months (includes virtual, on-the-job, and ACT training)

Designated essential position – not eligible for Adverse Weather Leave
May be required to work overtime, weekends, or any shift
Overnight travel and lodging provided for training as needed
