The Customer Service Representative (Dispute Resolution) – Intermediate serves as the first point of contact for consumers addressing credit report disputes, inquiries, and concerns. You will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, educating consumers, and resolving credit-related issues to support our goal of being the most consumer-friendly Credit Reporting Agency (CRA).

πŸš€ Key Responsibilities

πŸ“ž Handle inbound escalated consumer calls regarding credit reports.
πŸ“‹ Investigate and resolve credit disputes, including duplicate entries, outdated records, and collection items.
πŸ“’ Provide education on credit information, credit file interpretations, and Equifax products.
πŸ” Verify consumer data and ensure the accuracy of credit file information.
πŸ“‚ Document all customer interactions accurately in the system.
βš–οΈ Meet performance metrics such as quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
πŸ‘‚ Show empathy, patience, and active listening to deliver a positive consumer experience.
🏒 Serve as a backup for Equifax’s other customer service locations when needed.

🎯 Qualifications & Skills

πŸ“Œ Required:

βœ”οΈ High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
βœ”οΈ Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience (phone, chat, online, or in-person).
βœ”οΈ Ability to type efficiently (minimum 20 WPM).
βœ”οΈ Availability to attend 6 weeks of fixed-schedule training.
βœ”οΈ Reliable attendance & ability to work on-site 5 days a week in Atlanta, GA.
βœ”οΈ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
βœ”οΈ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
βœ”οΈ Attention to detail, with a focus on consumer privacy and data security.
βœ”οΈ Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic while assisting consumers.
βœ”οΈ Willingness to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
