π Key Responsibilities:
β Support & Troubleshoot IT Systems: Maintain and resolve issues related to Cisco switches, fiber networks, desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, scanners, communication devices (VoIP, desk phones, VTC), duress alarms, and TSA screening equipment (STIP).
β Provide Technical Assistance: Offer desk-side IT support for hardware, software, and network infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruptions to TSA operations.
β Coordinate Equipment Installation: Configure and deploy new IT devices, including laptops, mobile devices, printers, VTC units, and VoIP phones.
β Document IT Support Activities: Log technical support cases, resolutions, and system updates in the ticketing system to maintain operational efficiency.
β Investigate & Resolve Network Issues: Identify and troubleshoot connectivity problems impacting end-user devices, infrastructure, and screening equipment.
β Maintain IT Asset Inventory: Conduct regular audits of IT cabinets, equipment, and configurations, ensuring up-to-date documentation and asset tracking.
β Collaborate with External Vendors & Security Teams: Work alongside third-party service providers to facilitate timely repairs and upgrades.
β Support Security Operations & Compliance: Ensure IT activities comply with TSA security protocols and operational guidelines.
β Travel up to 25%: Occasional travel may be required to support TSA screening and IT operations at domestic and international locations.
π Qualifications & Skills:
β Education & Experience:
- Bachelorβs degree & 0 years of experience OR
- Associateβs degree & 2 years of IT experience OR
- High school diploma & 4 years of relevant IT experience
β Technical Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship is required β Must be able to obtain/maintain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
- Experience providing desk-side IT support.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting IT technologies (laptops, mobile devices, printers, network equipment, VoIP systems, security systems).
- Physical Requirements:
- Walking long distances in airports (4+ hours per day).
- Kneeling, bending, and reaching for IT equipment installations.
- Lifting up to 40-50 lbs for IT hardware setup.
- Pushing/pulling carts transporting IT assets.
β Preferred Certifications (Not Required):
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- CompTIA Network+ Certification
- Cisco & Microsoft Certifications
- ITIL4 Certification
- Experience with DHS or TSA IT environments
- Experience installing Cisco switches & fiber networking
