Position Summary

As a Cybersecurity Analyst at GreenState Credit Union, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the organization’s security program. You will monitor security controls, gather metrics, analyze vulnerabilities, and respond to security threats. In addition, you will guide project teams, perform risk assessments, and stay informed on industry threat trends. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the overall security and risk management efforts while continuing to develop your skills in a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

🔐 Vulnerability & Risk Management

  • Identify and analyze security vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
  • Assess, track, and develop mitigation strategies for security risks across the organization.
  • Perform comprehensive risk assessments for new and existing systems.
  • Ensure that all systems meet security standards and frameworks such as NIST CSF and PCI.

🛡️ Security Tool Management

  • Implement and manage security tools and technologies such as scanners, EDR, SIEM, etc.
  • Monitor framework controls and regulatory issues.
  • Assess and mitigate security risks associated with third-party vendors.

📊 Security Awareness & Reporting

  • Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
  • Collect, analyze, and report security metrics to measure the effectiveness of the security program.
  • Maintain comprehensive security documentation and prepare evidence for audits.

📚 Security Policy Development & Incident Management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide input and support for information security incidents.
  • Offer information security guidance for organizational projects and initiatives.

Job Requirements

🎓 Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a cybersecurity role or related field.

🔧 Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST CSF, PCI, etc.).
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools (e.g., scanners, EDR, SIEM) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of networking, operating systems, and security tools.
  • Experience working with Windows OS, Linux, and Active Directory.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to assess risk and make control recommendations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
  • Self-starting and highly motivated.
