Job Overview

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding PitchBook’s SaaS platform and APIs from bots, scrapers, and Layer 7 attacks. You will design, engineer, and implement security solutions while collaborating with engineering teams to embed security best practices into software development.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Cybersecurity Engineering & Threat Prevention:

• Analyze and mitigate Layer 7 threats, bots, and automation attacks.

• Work with traffic management and security protection platforms.

• Support cybersecurity incident response events.

✔ Secure Software Development & Collaboration:

• Advise engineering teams on secure coding practices.

• Embed security controls throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

• Stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats and best practices.

✔ Security Technology & Data Protection:

• Utilize Cloudflare, AWS security tools, Splunk, Mixpanel, and CloudFront.

• Enhance security monitoring, logging, and response capabilities.

• Strengthen cloud security controls across AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Qualifications

🔹 Minimum Requirements:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or related field.
✔ 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data analysis, or software development.
✔ Knowledge of programming or scripting (Python, Node.js, Java, or UNIX shell).

🔹 Preferred Qualifications:
✔ Hands-on experience with Cloudflare, Splunk, Mixpanel, AWS, or GCP security tools.
✔ Strong knowledge of Layer 7 security threats and mitigation strategies.
✔ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
