We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our U.S. Chemical Storage division and contribute to our mission of engineering state-of-the-art, compliant prefabricated chemical storage buildings.
๐ง Role Overview โ Electrical Engineer
๐น Position: Full-Time
๐น Location: Wilkesboro, NC (On-Site)
๐น Department: Engineering
๐น Reports to: Engineering Manager
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and ensuring the success of our hazardous chemical storage buildings. You will work closely with sales, production, and engineering teams to develop electrical system designs, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

๐ Key Responsibilities
๐น Technical Expertise & Electrical Design
- Serve as a technical expert in electrical engineering for our chemical storage solutions.
- Develop electrical drawings and calculations for heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
- Design and oversee the installation of electrical systems for prefabricated chemical storage buildings.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC (National Electrical Code), IBC, and FM Global guidelines.
๐น Project Collaboration & Customer Support
- Work closely with Sales, Production, and Engineering teams to develop innovative solutions.
- Communicate with customers and vendors to provide technical insights and support.
- Prepare cost estimates and assist in the development of customized storage solutions.
๐น Process Improvement & Research
- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
- Conduct Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) to optimize designs and reduce costs.
- Ensure project timelines and deliverables are met efficiently.
๐น Quality Control & Compliance
- Participate in QA/QC processes to maintain product quality and safety standards.
- Conduct cross-checks and audits to improve accuracy in electrical designs.
๐ Required Qualifications & Skills
To succeed in this role, candidates must have:

Bachelorโs Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
โ
3+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial safety.
โ
3+ years of CAD experience โ Proficiency in AutoCAD or other relevant design software.
โ
Knowledge of electrical control systems and PLCs.
โ
Experience with heating and cooling load calculations.
โ
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
โ
Strong organizational and project management skills.
๐ Preferred Qualifications:
โ๏ธ Experience with NFPA 70 (NEC), IBC, and IFC electrical design requirements.
โ๏ธ Familiarity with FM Global safety guidelines.
โ๏ธ HVAC and refrigeration knowledge is a plus.
โ๏ธ Experience submitting designs for multiple states.
