🧠 Internship Overview

Join Marathon Petroleum’s Fall 2025 Co-op/Internship Program and gain hands-on experience working on real-world refinery operations. From design to troubleshooting, you’ll apply what you’ve learned in school to large-scale engineering challenges.

🛠️ Internship Tracks

🔌 Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Project Engineering

• Lead project planning, budgeting, and execution

• Learn and apply industry safety and quality standards

• Collaborate with cross-functional refinery teams

⚙️ Reliability E&I Engineering

• Troubleshoot and analyze electrical systems

• Conduct Arc Flash and coordination studies

• Learn SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems) functionality

🖥️ Process Control / Technical Services

• Program control systems and troubleshoot issues

• Monitor refinery automation networks

• Support system upgrades and software lifecycle projects

📚 Qualifications

✔️ Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering
✔️ Strong academic performance
✔️ U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship offered)
✔️ Valid driver’s license
✔️ Preference for students available for multiple terms
✔️ Military experience is a plus
