π― Position Overview:
The Elementary Classroom Teacher at Amber Charter Schools plays a vital role in shaping young minds. This position requires a passion for education, the ability to foster a positive learning environment, and a commitment to student growth. The teacher will design and implement engaging lesson plans while ensuring that all students receive the individualized attention they need to succeed.

π Key Responsibilities:
π Curriculum & Instruction:
βοΈ Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with educational standards and Amber Charter Schoolsβ curriculum.
βοΈ Use innovative and interactive teaching methods to foster a love for learning.
βοΈ Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
π Classroom & Behavior Management:
βοΈ Establish and maintain an inclusive, positive, and structured classroom environment.
βοΈ Implement effective classroom management techniques to support student engagement.
βοΈ Encourage a culture of respect, collaboration, and accountability.
π Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring:
βοΈ Conduct regular evaluations to assess student learning and development.
βοΈ Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents.
βοΈ Analyze assessment data to refine teaching strategies and improve student outcomes.
π’ Parent & Community Engagement:
βοΈ Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
βοΈ Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss student development.
βοΈ Collaborate with families and community members to enhance student learning experiences.

π Qualifications & Requirements:
π Required:
βοΈ Bachelorβs Degree (Education-related field preferred).
βοΈ Experience as an effective and impactful educator.
βοΈ Strong understanding of pedagogical theories, child development, and best teaching practices.
βοΈ Ability to create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
βοΈ Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Suite.
βοΈ Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain strong organizational skills.
βοΈ Completion and passing of pre-employment fingerprinting & reference checks.
βοΈ Legally eligible to work in the United States.
π― Preferred:
βοΈ Masterβs Degree in Education.
βοΈ 2+ years of experience as a Lead Teacher in an elementary school setting.
βοΈ New York State Teaching Certification.
βοΈ Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.
