🎯 Position Overview:

The Elementary Classroom Teacher at Amber Charter Schools plays a vital role in shaping young minds. This position requires a passion for education, the ability to foster a positive learning environment, and a commitment to student growth. The teacher will design and implement engaging lesson plans while ensuring that all students receive the individualized attention they need to succeed.

📝 Curriculum & Instruction:

✔️ Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with educational standards and Amber Charter Schools’ curriculum.
✔️ Use innovative and interactive teaching methods to foster a love for learning.
✔️ Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.

🏛 Classroom & Behavior Management:

✔️ Establish and maintain an inclusive, positive, and structured classroom environment.
✔️ Implement effective classroom management techniques to support student engagement.
✔️ Encourage a culture of respect, collaboration, and accountability.

📊 Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring:

✔️ Conduct regular evaluations to assess student learning and development.
✔️ Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents.
✔️ Analyze assessment data to refine teaching strategies and improve student outcomes.

📢 Parent & Community Engagement:

✔️ Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
✔️ Conduct parent-teacher conferences to discuss student development.

📝 Qualifications & Requirements:

🎓 Required:

✔️ Bachelor’s Degree (Education-related field preferred).
✔️ Experience as an effective and impactful educator.
✔️ Strong understanding of pedagogical theories, child development, and best teaching practices.
✔️ Ability to create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Suite.
✔️ Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain strong organizational skills.
✔️ Completion and passing of pre-employment fingerprinting & reference checks.
✔️ Legally eligible to work in the United States.

🎯 Preferred:

✔️ Master’s Degree in Education.
✔️ 2+ years of experience as a Lead Teacher in an elementary school setting.
✔️ New York State Teaching Certification.
✔️ Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.

✔️ 10-Month Work Schedule
✔️ Traditional multi-floor school environment (limited to no elevator access)
