About the Internship
As an Engineering Intern at GPI, you will be involved in improvement projects, collaborating with experienced engineers to optimize processes, enhance equipment reliability, and implement cutting-edge technologies. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in both laboratory and manufacturing environments, giving you the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
🔹 Assist with process improvement initiatives and equipment reliability projects.
🔹 Work on process control optimization and support trials for new technologies.
🔹 Analyze data sets, interpret results, and implement solutions.
🔹 Lead and complete one or more projects from start to finish during the internship period.
🔹 Participate in engineering support activities across multiple departments.
🔹 Develop and write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training manuals.
🔹 Present updates and findings to the engineering department and company leadership team.
🔹 Ensure adherence to safety standards, driving best practices in safe operations.

Qualifications
Education & Background:
✅ Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, or a related discipline.

✔️ Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
✔️ Ability to work both independently and within a team.
✔️ Comfortable in both lab and manufacturing environments.
✔️ Experience working on projects from planning to execution.
✔️ Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
✔️ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
✔️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
✔️ Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
