⚡RESPONSIBILIES
As an Entry-Level Electrical Design Technician, you will:
1️⃣ Assist in Electrical Utility Design & Engineering
- Design overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
- Develop detailed construction drawings, layouts, and technical plans.
- Create accurate bills of materials (BOMs) for project execution.
- Prepare technical documentation, including pole force loading and voltage drop calculations.
- Ensure design compliance with utility standards, safety regulations, and industry codes.
2️⃣ Conduct Field Visits & Site Inspections
- Perform on-site evaluations of electrical infrastructure to verify accuracy.
- Gather field data, measurements, and photographs to support project designs.
- Communicate design changes and requirements to internal teams and clients.
3️⃣ Collaborate & Support Pre-Construction Activities
- Work closely with engineering teams, project managers, and field crews.
- Assist with permitting processes and project approvals.
- Respond to job site inquiries, ensuring seamless execution of designs.
- Utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other CAD tools for drafting and design.
📌QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Do you have a passion for electrical engineering, problem-solving, and technical design? We are looking for driven, detail-oriented individuals with strong analytical and communication skills.
🔹 Required Qualifications:
✔ 0-3 years of experience in a design or engineering role (entry-level candidates welcome!).
✔ Familiarity with electrical distribution systems, power utilities, or technical design is a plus.
✔ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
✔ Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar tools.
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and reporting.
✔ Eager to learn and grow in a technical environment with mentorship and career development.
🔹 Preferred Qualifications:
✔ Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical design.
✔ Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for power distribution.
✔ Ability to conduct site visits and field inspections to gather project data.
