🚀 Position Overview

SpaceX is hiring an Environmental Technician to ensure compliance with environmental regulations including EPA, RCRA, CUPA, and DOT. You’ll work closely with engineers and technicians to support operations while maintaining environmental sustainability.

✅ Key Responsibilities

✔ Ensure compliance with EPA, RCRA, CUPA, and DOT regulations
✔ Manage hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal
✔ Monitor and maintain hazardous waste levels across departments
✔ Label and store waste properly, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
✔ Maintain 90-day hazardous waste inventory logs
✔ Conduct site inspections, including hazardous waste storage and emergency equipment checks
✔ Manage spill response and coordinate cleanup activities
✔ Support waste minimization, risk reduction, and process improvement initiatives
✔ Work closely with SpaceX Environmental teams to ensure regulatory adherence

🎯 Required Qualifications

🔹 High school diploma or equivalent
🔹 2+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety programs
🔹 Ability to lift 30 lbs unassisted and work with hazardous materials
🔹 Willingness to work onsite in Hawthorne, CA
🔹 Ability to work overtime & weekends as needed

💡 Preferred Skills

✔ Experience in hazardous waste management
✔ Knowledge of emergency response protocols
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Windows OS
✔ Ability to work in industrial/construction environments

💰 Compensation & Benefits

💵 Pay Range:

• Level 1: $22.00 – $27.00/hour
• Level 2: $26.00 – $33.00/hour
