๐ Job Overview
The University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking a qualified Faculty Information System Analyst to manage and enhance the campus-wide faculty information system (currently Interfolio). This position reports to the Vice Provost for Faculty Excellence and plays a critical role in the successful integration of Interfolio into the faculty culture at UCF. As a Faculty Information System Manager, you will lead the Interfolio Integration Team, which consists of staff members and faculty fellows. You will focus on ensuring the effective integration of Interfolio and provide support to the faculty, staff, and administrators.
๐ Key Responsibilities
๐น Faculty Information System Management
- Lead the integration of Interfolio within UCFโs academic culture, ensuring smooth operations and user adoption across various stakeholders.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the faculty information system and provide guidance on its usage, troubleshooting issues, and resolving system problems.
- Translate user requirements into system specifications and collaborate with UCFโs Information Technology (IT) teams to implement effective solutions.
- Provide training and support to faculty, staff, and administrators on the use of the faculty information system.
๐น Communication & Collaboration
- Develop communication strategies and create training materials to ensure faculty and staff are informed about the faculty information system and related processes.
- Collaborate with Faculty Excellence, Academic Affairs Administration, OIE, and IT to ensure smooth workflow integration and resolve any technical issues.
- Conduct evaluations of workshops, events, and training programs to measure the effectiveness of the system integration and identify areas for improvement.
๐น Data Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor, track, and analyze the performance of faculty-related systems and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Develop reports and performance metrics related to the faculty information system, offering insight into the systemโs usage, challenges, and improvements.
- Investigate errors, diagnose problems, document issues, and track them to ensure timely resolution.
๐น Process Improvement
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to UCFโs systems processes and administrative procedures to increase efficiency and reduce redundancy.
- Identify opportunities for automation and re-engineering of faculty data management systems.
โ Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in higher education, particularly in faculty affairs, is preferred.
- Strong experience with faculty information systems such as Interfolio, PeopleAdmin, AcademicWorks, or similar systems.
- Experience with database administration, system optimization, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.

- Experience designing and administering training programs and creating assessment tools.
- Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to understand faculty needs and provide high-level support.
- Familiarity with data privacy and confidentiality standards in academic environments.
