Houston Methodist is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the financial performance, budgeting, and analysis of our hospital system, research, and education departments. Key Responsibilities
β Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Maintain and analyze financial data for assigned departments/hospitals.
- Extract financial data from General Ledger (G/L) and other financial systems.
- Generate monthly reports, revenue projections, and financial reconciliations.
β Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist with annual operating and capital budget preparation.
- Analyze contracts, productivity bonuses, and compensation models.
- Develop financial models and dashboards for performance tracking.
β Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements and accounting policies.
- Utilize cost accounting systems and financial tools for enhanced analysis.
- Support contract modeling and auditing tools to identify revenue opportunities.
β Collaboration & Communication:
- Work across departments, including Finance, Internal Audit, and Revenue Cycle teams.
- Present financial insights and reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Provide financial guidance for grants, contracts, and donor funding management.
Qualifications
πΉ Minimum Education: Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
πΉ Experience: At least 1 year of financial, budget, or cost accounting experience (preferred).
