Available Positions & Responsibilities

📌 Teacher Assistant

✅ Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for preschoolers
✅ Create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment
✅ Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians
✅ Assist teachers in conducting home visits to support student learning
✅ Help with kitchen and bus duties as needed
✅ Support all aspects of the Head Start curriculum and activities

📌 Teacher’s Aide

✅ Assist with daily educational activities and classroom preparation
✅ Provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children
✅ Engage in interactive learning experiences with students
✅ Help with kitchen, bus duties, and classroom organization
✅ Maintain children’s confidential files and records
✅ Assist teachers with home visits and parent communications

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

📌 Teacher Assistant:

✔ Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Pre-K/Primary Education from an accredited institution
✔ OR Associate Degree in a related field with at least 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education
✔ OR High School Diploma/GED and a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential

📌 Teacher’s Aide:

✔ High School Diploma/GED
✔ Six months of experience in childcare (Kindergarten, Head Start, preschool, or child care facility)
✔ Must obtain a CDA certification within 18 months of employment
✔ Must complete Department of Children & Family 45-hour State mandated Child Care courses within one year of hire

Salary & Compensation

💲 Teacher Assistant: $18.45 – $22.60 per hour
💲 Teacher’s Aide: $17.57 – $19.55 per hour
📌 Salary placement based on education and experience
