Available Positions & Responsibilities
๐ Teacher Assistant
โ
Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for preschoolers
โ
Create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment
โ
Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians
โ
Assist teachers in conducting home visits to support student learning
โ
Help with kitchen and bus duties as needed
โ
Support all aspects of the Head Start curriculum and activities
๐ Teacherโs Aide
โ
Assist with daily educational activities and classroom preparation
โ
Provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children
โ
Engage in interactive learning experiences with students
โ
Help with kitchen, bus duties, and classroom organization
โ
Maintain childrenโs confidential files and records
โ
Assist teachers with home visits and parent communications
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
๐ Teacher Assistant:
โ Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Pre-K/Primary Education from an accredited institution
โ OR Associate Degree in a related field with at least 6 credit hours in Early Childhood Education
โ OR High School Diploma/GED and a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
๐ Teacherโs Aide:
โ High School Diploma/GED
โ Six months of experience in childcare (Kindergarten, Head Start, preschool, or child care facility)
โ Must obtain a CDA certification within 18 months of employment
โ Must complete Department of Children & Family 45-hour State mandated Child Care courses within one year of hire
Salary & Compensation
๐ฒ Teacher Assistant: $18.45 โ $22.60 per hour
๐ฒ Teacherโs Aide: $17.57 โ $19.55 per hour
๐ Salary placement based on education and experience
