👤 Position Overview

We’re seeking a dedicated Human Resources Manager to lead daily HR operations at our Hasbrouck Heights, NJ location. As a strategic partner to the General Manager, you’ll manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance. This is a fast-paced, people-first environment where your HR leadership will directly impact the employee experience and overall site performance.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

Oversee full-cycle recruitment with support from the Talent Acquisition team
Manage candidates within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Host job fairs and organize local recruitment efforts
Conduct interviews and manage the hiring process
Lead EEO investigations, employee relations reviews, and disciplinary guidance
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws
Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues
Oversee employment actions like hiring, promotions, and terminations
Handle leave administration (FMLA, STD, LTD) and return-to-work coordination
Conduct new hire orientation and employee onboarding
Maintain accurate employee records and support HR data management
Promote a positive, compliant, and respectful work environment
Perform other HR duties as assigned

✅ Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in human resources; union experience preferred
Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels
Discretion and professionalism in managing confidential information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience in fast-paced or service-oriented environments is a plus
