Darling Ingredients Inc. is hiring a Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations across both corporate and plant levels. This key leadership role will ensure effective HR administration, build strong employee relations, support compliance efforts, and oversee HR staff including payroll and benefits administration.

πΌ Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary contact for employee relations and HR matters

Conduct impartial internal investigations regarding complaints and grievances
-
Manage 401(k) administration and assist with audits
-
Represent the company in unemployment hearings
-
Create and recommend HR policies that align with compliance and best practices
-
Travel to various locations to assess HR practices and deliver on-site training
-
Evaluate legal and regulatory risks to minimize company exposure
-
Identify and implement training programs across regional operations
-
Advise management on succession planning, employee engagement, and retention
-
Supervise HR team members managing payroll, benefits, FMLA, COBRA, and more
-
Act as a liaison for all HR-related issues across the regional workforce

Complete other duties as assigned by senior management
π Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelorβs Degree in Human Resources or a related field

5β7 years of HR management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)

Strong generalist experience across all HR functions

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Highly organized with proven time management skills

Demonstrated leadership and decision-making ability

Integrity and discretion in handling confidential HR matters

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting

Willingness to travel approximately 35% of the time

Office and plant-based work settings

Regular walking, sitting, climbing, kneeling, and occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs)

Regular use of hands/arms for reaching and data entry
