πŸ‘€ About the Role

The Department is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Quality Assurance Manager to support data control, personnel action tracking, organizational chart maintenance, and strategic staffing within the Personnel & Timekeeping Division. Reporting to the Assistant Commissioner of HR & Labor Relations, this position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of HR operations across the department.


πŸ› οΈ Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and track all recruitment data and OMB (Office of Management and Budget) personnel actions

  • Liaise with OMB for new hire approvals and justification follow-ups

  • Submit NYCAPS error tickets as needed for personnel records

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all personnel transactions

  • Advise executive leadership on staffing trends, attrition, and HR performance

  • Manage the development and updates of departmental organizational charts

  • Assist in workforce planning aligned with budget and headcount limitations

  • Respond to complex HR inquiries and provide resolutions or alternatives

  • Support the Assistant Commissioner with strategic HR projects as assigned


πŸ“š Minimum Qualifications

Must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:

  1. Master’s Degree in a qualifying field + 1 year of relevant experience

  2. Bachelor’s Degree + 3 years of qualifying professional experience

  3. Associate Degree/60 credits + 5 years of experience

  4. High School Diploma + 7 years of relevant experience

  5. Equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum: high school diploma and 1 year of relevant experience)

Relevant experience includes:
Personnel administration, public administration, recruitment, labor relations, HR operations, fiscal management, economic planning, or related areas.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage complex workflows independently

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Skilled in compiling data reports and presentations
