Junior Environmental Engineering Specialist

📍 Location: New York, NY 10001

STV is seeking a Junior Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental Group in New York, NY. This role provides hands-on experience in capital construction, site assessment, remediation, and environmental engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Engineering & Design: Assist in preparing design documents for vapor mitigation, in-situ remediation, stormwater control, and potable water purification.
✅ Site Inspections: Conduct field reconnaissance, inspections, and oversight of remedial construction activities.
✅ Assessments & Investigations: Perform Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling.
✅ Regulatory Compliance: Develop work plans for emergency response, hazardous material releases, and water contamination.
✅ Documentation & Reporting: Prepare environmental reports, cost estimates, feasibility studies, and regulatory documentation.
✅ Technical Support: Process data from vendors, support project managers, and contribute to planning efforts.

Qualifications

🎓 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
📌 Experience: Minimum 2 years of environmental engineering experience.
💻 Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (MicroStation & REVIT a plus).
• Experience with ArcGIS is preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering standards and environmental regulations.

🛠️ Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.

🚗 Other Requirements:

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Salary & Benefits

💰 Compensation Range: $76,852 – $102,470 (final salary based on location, experience, and certifications).
