🧩 About the Role:

Walgreens is seeking a Manager of Human Resources to lead the HR function at our Houston Distribution Center. In this critical role, you will shape the workforce strategy, oversee all HR operations, manage talent pipelines, ensure compliance with labor laws, and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture.

💼 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead HR service delivery across employee relations, talent acquisition, training, performance, and compensation

• Develop and implement HR strategies that align with Walgreens’ business goals

• Manage a team of HR professionals and oversee day-to-day HR operations for the distribution center

• Partner with COEs to deliver talent programs, recruiting strategies, and succession planning

• Act as a coach to leadership, supporting team development and transformation

• Conduct HR investigations and manage escalated employee relations cases

• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, labor compliance, and employee engagement initiatives

• Promote workplace equity, inclusion, and diversity in all HR processes

• Analyze HR metrics and trends to enhance performance and reduce turnover

• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal employment laws

• Liaise with Labor Relations and Legal teams regarding collective bargaining agreements

• Lead initiatives to maintain a harassment-free, compliant work environment

🎓 Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree + 2 years HR experience OR High School diploma/GED + 5 years HR experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience with HR law (FMLA, ADA, OSHA, Workers’ Comp, etc.)

• At least 1 year of direct or indirect leadership experience

• Willing to travel up to 5% for business purposes

✅ Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of conflict resolution, dispute settlement, or grievance handling

• Experience in labor relations and union environments

• Familiarity with distribution, logistics, or manufacturing settings

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)

• Proven time management and project execution skills
