About the Role

ISEC, Inc. is seeking a motivated Operations Intern to assist with key project duties, including reviewing shop drawings, coordinating vendors, managing documents, and preparing submittals and delivery schedules. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management and procurement within a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Project Operations:

• Review project specifications for shop drawings and submittals.
• Prepare transmittals and QC shop drawings.
• Analyze returned shop drawings for compliance and discuss changes with the Project Manager.
• Assist in preparing quotes for change requests and gather necessary documentation for pricing.
• Coordinate operation and maintenance manuals and guarantees.
• Schedule and complete punch list tasks with the Project Manager.
• Support weekly project management documentation, including Room Status reports and Outstanding Issues Lists.

✅ Pre-Construction & Estimation:

• Assist in estimating and taking off products using ISEC’s estimating tools.
• Participate in estimating meetings, pre-bid sessions, and strategy discussions.
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to manage material procurement.
• Support purchasing agents in material buyouts and contract negotiations.
• Analyze architectural drawings to identify project scope.

Requirements

🎓 Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university.
💡 Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail & organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication & problem-solving abilities.
• Highly motivated and eager to learn.
