Position Overview

🚀 Note: This is NOT a UAS, UAV, RPV, or Drone pilot role.
SAIC is seeking a Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) to join the Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at Minneapolis ARTCC (ZMP) in Farmington, MN. In this role, you will support FAA air traffic controller training by simulating pilot and ATC facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

✔️ Operate simulated radar displays and voice communication systems
✔️ Act as pilots and remote ATC facilities in training simulations
✔️ Process voice commands and respond using FAA-approved phraseology
✔️ Interpret displayed data and translate it into appropriate ATC terminology
✔️ Complete required classroom and lab certifications

Required Qualifications

✔️ High school diploma (or equivalent)
✔️ Basic computer proficiency
✔️ Strong verbal and written communication skills
✔️ US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Skills & Experience

✔️ Prior ATC Tower, TRACON, or En Route simulation experience
✔️ Knowledge of FAA Order JO 7110.65
✔️ Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
✔️ Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
✔️ Familiarity with pilot/controller communications & phraseology
✔️ Technical skills with tablets, notebooks, and digital applications
