📝 Job Summary
Oregon State University is seeking a Social Media Specialist to drive content creation, manage social communities, and run analytics for its institutional brand. This role includes oversight of organic and paid social media campaigns across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and more. You’ll collaborate with marketing, academic, and administrative teams, producing compelling multimedia content aligned with OSU’s strategic goals.
🔍 Key Responsibilities

Content Creation (30%): Develop engaging multimedia content across OSU’s official social platforms.

Community Management (20%): Monitor mentions, foster engagement, and escalate issues appropriately.

Performance Analysis (20%): Report on campaign performance and apply insights to future content.

Paid Media Management (20%): Plan and optimize paid social strategies in sync with organic campaigns.

Other Duties (10%): Contribute to evolving marketing strategies and university branding.
✅ Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field

2+ years of professional social media experience
-
Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools

Strong communication skills and content development experience

Master’s degree or professional certifications

Skills in Adobe Creative Suite, video/photo editing

Experience in higher education marketing
