Position Summary
As a Space Systems Engineering Intern, you will play a pivotal role within a multi-functional team responsible for a range of system engineering activities in space communications. From system requirements configuration to integration and verification, you will gain hands-on experience with advanced space technology and contribute to cutting-edge projects.

🚀 Collaborate with a dynamic, cross-functional team to meet performance requirements.
🚀 Coordinate and contribute to system engineering activities related to space communication technologies.
🚀 Engage in system integration, verification, and configuration tracking to support space-related projects.

Internship Program Details
📅 Duration: Full Time
🏢 Work Location: Onsite at Viasat office
💼 Housing & Relocation Assistance: Available to eligible interns

  • 💵 Compensation: $20.91 – $56.97 per hour (varies by location)
    📍 For specific work locations in San Jose, SF Bay Area, and NYC, the range is $25.96 – $67.07 per hour

Required Qualifications
🎓 Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
📅 Final graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
💬 Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
🛡️ U.S. Citizenship required to obtain Secret Clearance if hired full-time post-internship.


Additional Desired Skills
🔧 Familiarity with satellite communications and signal processing.
🔧 Knowledge of space design concepts and constraints (e.g., environmental effects).
🔧 Experience with Python and other SW automation languages.
🔧 Exposure to Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE).
