Your Role:

As a Specialist, Carrier Procurement, you will play a vital role in our Brokerage division, sourcing, negotiating, and securing carriers to move freight efficiently. Your efforts will directly impact our supply chain success.

✔ Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with core carriers.
• Negotiate and secure carriers to move available freight.
• Communicate effectively with carriers and customers regarding freight movement.
• Monitor shipments and provide updates on delays, route changes, or concerns.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments while considering logistics factors.
• Ensure compliance with HVS and HRC shipment protocols.
• Keep accurate records within company systems.
• Conduct research for potential carrier leads and perform cold calls as needed.
• Oversee billing and invoicing accuracy for carrier charges.
• Evaluating carrier performance based on factors like pricing, service reliability, capacity, and compliance to select the most suitable partners.
• Tracking carrier performance metrics like on-time delivery, damage rates, and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement.
• Analyzing data to identify trends, assess carrier performance, and make informed procurement decision.
• Effective communication with internal stakeholders and carriers to clearly convey requirements and address issues

What You Need to Succeed:

✔ Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year of procurement experience.

💡 Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work/military experience.
• 1 year of transportation industry experience.
• 2 years of sales or customer service experience.
• Strong judgment and discretion while working independently.
