🔍 Job Overview

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis to provide essential HR support during a maternity leave coverage. This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who wants to gain hands-on experience in HR operations, employee relations, and administrative support.

The HR Assistant will play a key role in managing employee records, onboarding and offboarding, recruitment assistance, and benefit coordination, ensuring that HR processes run smoothly in the absence of the regular HR personnel.


📌 Key Responsibilities

🔹 HR Operations & Employee Support

  • Assist with daily HR operations, including responding to employee inquiries and maintaining accurate personnel records.
  • Track and manage employee attendance, time-off requests, and PTO balances.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, documentation, and legal regulations.

🔹 Recruitment & Onboarding Assistance

  • Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, including preparing offer letters, collecting necessary paperwork, and coordinating orientation sessions.
  • Facilitate offboarding tasks, such as collecting exit documents and conducting employee separation procedures.

🔹 HR Documentation & Benefits Coordination

  • Maintain and update HR files, databases, and employee records in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and coordinate with benefit providers to ensure proper documentation.
  • Prepare HR reports, including employee turnover, attendance tracking, and recruitment metrics for management review.

🔹 Administrative & Organizational Support

  • Manage HR-related emails, calls, and correspondence to ensure effective communication with employees and applicants.
  • Assist with filing, scheduling, and general office organization for the HR team.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement activities, training coordination, and policy updates.

✅ Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience:

  • Prior experience in human resources, administrative support, or office management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (a plus but not required).

Technical & Organizational Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple HR tasks efficiently.

Communication & Confidentiality:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees and management.
  • Ability to handle confidential HR data with discretion and professionalism.

Availability & Work Environment:

  • Must be based in Coachella, CA or able to commute to the location.
  • Must be available to work during Pacific Time Zone (PST) business hours.
