We are currently seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor β Finance for a full-time, non-tenure-track position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning July 1, 2025. As a Visiting Assistant Professor, you will be responsible for teaching finance courses at the undergraduate, master’s, and/or doctoral levels, producing high-impact research, and participating in service and outreach initiatives that align with the educational mission of Mays Business School and Texas A&M University.
π Key Responsibilities
π Conduct and publish high-quality research in top academic journals within finance and economics.
π Teach finance courses with rigorous academic content at various levels (undergraduate, masterβs, and Ph.D.).
π Engage in service and outreach activities that contribute to the department, business school, and university community.
π Participate in faculty meetings, seminars, and academic collaborations to enhance student learning and institutional impact.
π Mentor students and support their academic and professional development.
π Qualifications & Requirements
β
Ph.D. in Economics (required) from a recognized and accredited institution.
β
Demonstrated expertise in finance, economics, or a related field.
β
Strong research record with publications in leading academic journals.
β
Proven teaching excellence at the undergraduate or graduate level.
β
Ability to engage in service and outreach efforts that contribute to the departmentβs and universityβs mission.
β
Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
