We are currently seeking a highly qualified Visiting Professor in Business Information Systems to join our esteemed faculty in the Bay Area (Newark & San Jose, CA). This role is an adjunct faculty position, ideal for industry professionals with a doctoral degree in Information Systems or a closely related field who are passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of business and technology leaders.

📚 Position Overview

✔️ Position: Visiting Professor – Business Information Systems
✔️ Location: Newark, CA 94560 & San Jose, CA
✔️ Job Type: Part-Time / Adjunct Faculty
✔️ Schedule: Courses meet once or twice a week for 8-week sessions
✔️ Format: In-person, hybrid, and online course delivery
✔️ Compensation:

• Pay varies by degree, credit hours taught, and location
• Most states: $1,500 – $2,700 per 8-week session
• In AZ, CA, IN & PA: $22.00 – $23.50 per hour

🎯 Key Responsibilities

📌 Develop and deliver engaging, practitioner-based coursework aligned with DeVry University standards.
📌 Facilitate student learning in Business Information Systems, ensuring a high-quality educational experience.
📌 Utilize a blended learning approach, incorporating face-to-face instruction, online discussions, and digital resources.
📌 Prepare course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials that meet terminal course objectives.
📌 Use modern technology tools for lectures, assignments, and student interactions.
📌 Provide fair and timely grading and feedback to students.
📌 Participate in faculty training and ongoing professional development.

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

✅ Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Information Systems or a related field such as Business, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing (with at least 15 graduate hours in the subject area).
✅ Academic credentials must be awarded by an institution accredited by a recognized agency such as the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Administration.
✅ Strong teaching skills, with the ability to engage students in a diverse and non-traditional learning environment.
✅ Proficiency in online learning platforms and technology-enhanced instruction.
✅ Excellent communication and motivational abilities to support student success.
